Our K-12 Charlotte Mason-inspired history, geography, science, and social studies curriculum helps parents and teachers create a peaceful family learning environment while igniting wonder and honoring the uniqueness of each child.

Shop Charter Approved Packs
The vast majority (96%) of the 600+ titles we carry are secular and free of religious content. The small number of religious items we sell are marked on our website with an ichthus (fish symbol). Our curriculum is used by families across faiths as well as by secular homeschoolers.

If a book or Teacher Guide that contains religious content is included in one of our literature packs, we remove this item to create a charter-approved pack available to charter families. These packs include “Charter School” in the title denoting that they have been customized to remove any religious content. If a charter school orders a literature pack that contains religious content we simply swap out the charter-approved version to ensure that no items that contain religious content will be shipped to a charter school family.
Simply list each item by its title as displayed on our website. Individual items can be referenced by the ISBN number shown on the website.
We'll make sure your orders are compliant (with religious content removed) to prevent invoicing or other issues.
- Items: Individual item and pack prices can be referenced on our website.
- Sales Tax: California: A 8.75% sales tax rate is added to orders shipping within California. No sales tax is added to orders shipped outside California.
- Shipping: Apply an 8% shipping rate to the pre-tax order total ($7.50 minimum).We'll make sure your orders are compliant (with religious content removed) to prevent invoicing or other issues.
Unfortunately, we are no longer able to offer customizations to our packs. We encourage families to include their children in donating extra books as a lesson in giving and generosity.

Yes. If the family’s email address is provided on the purchase order we can ensure that they receive a tracking email once it ships. Otherwise, tracking will be sent to the default email address on your school’s account.
If the family’s email address is provided on the purchase order we will email the product directly to the family. Otherwise, we will reach out to your school and request the family’s email address which may cause a delay.

Yes! If we are not already an approved vendor for your school we would love to become one! Each charter school has their own policy on adding vendors. Some require a parent request to add a new vendor, while others simply need a request from the vendor. Reach out on our Contact us page for help in adding BFB as a vendor.
If your email address was included on the purchase order submitted by your charter school we will email you tracking information when your order ships. If your charter does not include your email address on the PO, we suggest you request they add it. This makes it easier for us to support you when you have questions.
Charters cannot approve an order for items that contain religious content. You may purchase those items directly using your own funds. We highly recommend purchasing the corresponding Teacher Guide with your own funds to take advantage of all the helpful lessons, activities, assignments, and supplemental material that we build into each guide. Simply place your order online using our Charter School Page to ensure your purchase contains only charter-approved items. You will automatically receive an emailed receipt that can be submitted for reimbursement.
We align with the return policy of your charter school. To inquire about a return, contact your charter-assigned educational consultant. Many charters do not allow returns due to the complexity of the accounting practices with which they have to adhere. If they do allow returns, contact us for instructions through our Contact us page. Please include “Request for Return Instructions” in the subject line.
