We’re partway through the Early American History for Grades 4–6 Teacher Guide, and I’m already so impressed. I love the literature-based approach—it invites meaningful conversations with my kids and encourages curiosity. The book selections are strong and well-chosen, and the format gives us the flexibility to move at our own pace without losing engagement. Even though we haven’t finished the unit yet, what I’ve seen so far has been thoughtful, enriching, and deeply enjoyable for our homeschool days.

Book of Nations
Man of the Family
I read all of the Little Britches books to my children a couple of times because with 10 children if various ages it was necessary in order that they would benefit at the right time in their lives. My boys and some of my girls read them on their own more than once. The books played a big role in influencing my boys to be manly, independent and to tackle whatever tasks came their way. I highly recommend them. I have bought the set for my children and their families.

Early American K-3 Teacher Guide
We enjoyed this guide and the books recommended so entirely! My son frequently asked if we could do extra history or just finish a book instead of waiting for the next day's lesson. We read many of the recommended supplemental texts as well. Best of all, this has given my son a hunger for history and he is now asking me to read him more history books for pleasure. We used this for his 1st grade and part of his 2nd grade.

Tales of the Mushroom Folk
The Complete Brambly Hedge Collection
We loved this book! I used it as a read aloud at our homeschool co-op. We journeyed through the school year using the Seasons Afield curriculum together. The children loved the detailed illustrations. They all wished they could jump into the book and be a part of the Brambly Hedge world.
