I have used this guide with several of my teens. They have all enjoyed it and learned so much. It is just the right amount of books that are high interest. I've never come across a better product than this in my 27 years of homeschooling! It fosters independence and a love of history. The open and go format is just what moms need as well!
Our co op read Minn of the Mississippi and this was a great addition to the reading. Love how the map comes in a tube for easy transport to and from home!
I love the Art Appreciation books! We just got started on it so beautiful. Kids love it and so do I!

Absolutely wonderful! Thoughtfully put together with intention and respect to how children learn. I thoroughly love BF books. We are using BF books in our homeschool as the main chunk of our enrichments (culture & geography, music, art, and nature) and wholeheartedly loving all of them!! Also - the book of composers is stunning! I tried teaching music appreciation on my own with resources from Amazon, and while it probably would’ve suited high schoolers just fine, the only material I could find was just too advanced for my middle school and young elementary students. This is perfect! Challenging enough for my oldest (6th) but flexible enough to include my littles as well. Truly love this very much and wish there were more like it to choose from for enrichment/morning basket subjects to teach family style!
We just received our first bookling package, and it far exceeded our expectation! Our daughter is so excited to write Dr Gosling and have her respond. So many thoughtful details and the book selection was wonderfully endearing. I appreciate the books are based on real people from history. It definitely fits within the Charlotte Mason philosophy of building relationships. So happy we took the plunge insigning up for the Bookling Society. We are looking forward to see which book and activities are selected for each month!
I’m sure my reason for buying the timeline is unique among all others. I’m leading a book club meeting at my local senior center. Our feature book is 1177BC The Year Civilization Collapsed by Eric H. Cline. This led me to dig out my Genevieve Foster Augustus Caesar, which led to me ordering the timeline to display. I’m now a 71-year-old grandmother of 11, great grandmother of one, who homeschooled her 5 children back in the day. I love it that you are still flourishing!
The Bookling Society is such a blessing and a great addition to our homeschool. I purchased for my 3 and 7 year old my smallest loved their first book so did my 7 year old . My oldest loved the craft and learning about the hero words which we now try to use in everyday conversation so he can get well acquainted being articulate. Such family fun and growth. We are looking forward to professor Goslings response:)
This map is so lovely. As with the other maps we've purchased from BFB, this one is beautiful and well made. It's a great map to have alongside our geography studies.
I do wish there was a smaller version of this map. I realize ratios can be tricky with printing something this detailed, but with our other BFB maps, we can have them up on the wall throughout the year as we work on them. That's half the reason I purchased them- to have a visual for my students. We absolutely do not have the space for this one. It has to stay folded up when we aren't working on it.
I do recommend this map, just wish there was another sizing option.
Exactly what I was hoping for to include art in our homeschool. It includes studying art, making art, and learning about artists.
We are really enjoying the study so far;! It is just what my boys and I needed for this season!
