I didn't care for this book, and it didn't work well for our studies. We use our BF books as read-alouds, and the free verse poetry style doesn't work as well for that. Some of the entries were hard to figure out if you were looking for facts about his life. When I asked my boys to write about Carver in their notebooks, they preferred other books we got from the library to refer to. I also believe the author makes some assumptions as to Carver's sexuality, which seems unnecessary to this study.
“Beautiful Feet has built a family bond around wonderful literature.”
