My son has learned so much from this curriculum this year and I've been thrilled with how it's presented. The book choices are fantastic and all the activities really seem to be impactful. We've very much enjoyed it and are looking forward to his next HS History course with BFB.

I spent 20 minutes composing a review which vanished when I hit submit. Here's the recap: the books I liked least in this course have been replaced with books I know to be better. Guidebook was helpful.

Wow! This curriculum is by far one of the best "marriages" of history and literature I have ever seen. I have my degree in history and took a number of literature classes--this has to be the most comprehensive study of the medieval world I've ever experienced. It's laid out beautifully. It's both easy to use and yet not "easy" on the student. I have used BF guides before but this one is the BEST of them all if you have an older student passionate about the medieval world. Three thumbs up! :)

I just received this guide a few weeks ago and I am thrilled with what I see! My daughter will love this, it is an excellent way to combine great literature with history. It is well organized, detailed, colorful, and will make your student really think about what they are reading and learning. I can't wait to get started!
