Our Process
Four decades of experience have taught us a thing or two about creating curriculum that works. Here’s how we do it.
Ranging from the bombardment of Fort Sumter at the beginning of the Civil War in 1861 to The Great Recession in 2007, this Timeline features 28 dated illustrations to help your student learn and visualize the incredible people and events of the last 150 years. Well-known figures such as Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, Gladys Aylward, Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., are interspersed with the seminal events of the World Wars, the Civil Rights Movement, and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Designed to aid students in understanding the chronology of historical events the Timeline will be a useful teaching tool as well as a fun project.
With its dated illustrations of significant events and individuals, students cut and color the detailed drawings and paste them on three 6" x 34" card-stock strips which are scored and able to fold for convenient storage in the student notebook. Many students will mount their completed timelines on the wall. When assembled this timeline will stretch to nearly nine feet in length!
We highly recommend each student has their own timeline to express their individual creativity.
