Our Process
Four decades of experience have taught us a thing or two about creating curriculum that works. Here’s how we do it.
This fictionalized biography of John Wycliffe brings medieval England to life, from the horrors of the Black Death to the deadly St. Scholastica Day riot in Oxford. These experiences shaped Wycliffe’s passion to make the Bible accessible to all by translating it into English. Readers will journey with him through his student days and witness his determination to bring God’s Word to the common people.
A fictionalized biography of John Wycliffe, set in medieval England: Young John Wycliffe lived through the terrors of the Black Death and later survived the St Scholastica Day riot in Oxford that killed some of his comrades. His experiences gave him a passion to give the Bible to the common man, in the common language of English. Readers will share in Wycliffe's student days at Oxford University and see him work toward his goal of translating the Bible into English for all Englishmen to read.

We are not even halfway through this book, but enjoying it so much that I had to review. My 11 year old struggles with reading comprehension so we are taking turns reading this outloud to each other. It’s beautifully written and just the perfect amount of challenge for him. Also the subject matter was pretty fascinating - John is told he might be burned at the stake for merely suggesting that common people should have a Bible and in a language they can read. We take so much for granted when it comes to religious freedom and access to the Word of God. This book has brought out some great discussion points.
