The quality is excellent

The quality is excellent, very sturdy. I’m using it for a class at co-op on world geography for elementary kids, and it should work well for my purpose. I deducted one star because it does not have Antarctica on the map. I had to draw that in as I need it there for class. My 11 year old noticed as soon as he saw it that it wasn’t there. I’m sure there was purpose for leaving it off, but I would have liked it to be there.

We especially love that your 11-year-old noticed Antarctica right away—that kind of curiosity and attention to detail is exactly what we hope geography study inspires! And drawing it in yourselves is such a fun way to make the map your own.

You’re absolutely right that Antarctica isn’t pictured on the main world map. This was an intentional part of the study design because Antarctica becomes significantly distorted on world maps. When students reach the Antarctica portion of the course, the Teacher Guide directs them to a dedicated printable Antarctica map in the Resource Packet, where they label and color the continent and Southern Ocean and continue adding geographical features as they work through the lessons.
